Service Description

The TCOLE Advanced Instructor Certification Course aims to enhance instructor comprehension of student motivations and generational values. The program is tailored to hone instructor skills in preparation, presentation, and overall competency in training. The course is specifically designed to cultivate the ability to teach other adults with professionalism and to create a productive and effective learning environment. Topics Covered: Understanding Generational Gaps Perception Risk and Task Analysis Need Assessment Stage Fright Student Behaviors Perspectives on Learning, Teaching, and Technology Modern Multimedia Development and Delivery Testing Evaluation Student Presentation and Teaching Exercises Target Audience (Recommended): Certified TCOLE Basic Instructors Licensed Security Officers Emergency Medical Technicians Public Safety Trainers Instructor: Lieutenant Michael De Leon has a distinguished career spanning over 17 years as a Texas Peace Officer, fulfilling roles as a Patrol Officer and Deputy Constable. Demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement, he has pursued various certifications, including those as a certified Mental Health Officer, Crisis/Hostage Negotiator, and Civil Process Proficiency holder. Lt. De Leon holds an Associate degree in Criminal Justice and possesses an array of significant certifications, such as Master Peace Officer proficiency, Advanced Instructor, and De-Escalation Instructor qualifications. His leadership acumen is honed through accredited programs like the Texas Police Chiefs Association Developing Leaders, the FBI-LEEDA Trilogy program, and LEMIT’s Texas Constable Leadership College. With a passion for community involvement and a dedication to shaping future law enforcement instructors, Lt. De Leon exemplifies a commitment to excellence in his field.

Cancellations within 5 days of registering are 100% refundable, unless the following restrictions apply: Due to limited seating, we request that you cancel at least 5 days before a scheduled class begins. This gives others the opportunity to register for the class. If you have to cancel your class, and do so at least 5 days before the class, you may use the credit towards any future class. At any time after registering, or within 5 days of the course, you may transfer the registration to another person.
