Service Description

This 5-day, 50 hour course is designed as an introduction to law enforcement professionals who will conduct or support dignitary/executive protective service operations for elected officials, political appointees, members of the court, high profile individuals of wealth or potential targets of terrorism and /or criminal acts. There will be classroom, field operational planning and exercises to include live fire drills at the Williamson County Firing range. The student will gain the knowledge and skills to organize, plan and execute protective security detail. Topics Covered: Introduction to protection Case studies Concentric rings of security Organization of a protective detail Security formations and tactics Security advances, site surveys & route selection Motorcade operations Motorcade operation practical's Protective Intelligence Pre-attack indicators and behavior analysis Operational planning Live fire element (range)*see requirements Vehicle ambush countermeasures Contingency operations Live advance & executive protection detail exercises Multiple instructors with state and federal executive protection detail experience. The class will be held at the Williamson County Sheriff's Office Training Academy on September 18th and 19th with various locations the following week days TBD in the Austin area. Williamson County Sheriffs Office 8160 Chandler Road Hutto, Tx 78634 Prerequisite: 1. LEO only (Military or Private Security by invite only). 2. All students must be current in weapons qualification in accordance with respective agency policy Required Training Materials: Duty Weapon 200 rounds of ammunition Three magazines Magazine pouches Body armor Holster for concealed carry (NO duty rig, Unmarked vehicle preferred Ear and eye protection for range Small flashlight (Example: Streamlight /surefire) Attire: Khakis/BDU pants and professional polo style shirt Attire must adequate conceal equipment to include on range, FX day: Professional/ suit attire Appropriate shoes for range element, (BDU pants and polo) live fire training

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations within 5 days of registering are 100% refundable, unless the following restrictions apply: Due to limited seating, we request that you cancel at least 5 days before a scheduled class begins. This gives others the opportunity to register for the class. If you have to cancel your class, and do so at least 5 days before the class, you may use the credit towards any future class. At any time after registering, or within 5 days of the course, you may transfer the registration to another person.
