Service Description
Proper crime scene investigation, evidence collection, and documentation are key components to any criminal investigation. This course provides participants with information, techniques, and methods for conducting investigations ranging from general crime scene investigations to death investigations. Topics Covered: • Legal Aspects of a Crime Scene Search • Preparing for a Crime Scene Investigation • Investigating a Crime Scene • Sketching and Photographing • Fingerprinting • Identification, Collection, and Preservation of Evidence • DNA Evidence • Specific Crime Scene Searches • Simulated Crime Scene • Computer and Other Electronic Evidence Instructor: Israel Limas has been in Law Enforcement for a total of 14 years and a TCOLE certified instructor since 2015. He has taught many courses and officers of all ranks. Israel has implemented, taught and is proficient in the use of numerous Law Enforcement topics to include Hostage Negotiations, Interview & Interrogating, Criminal Investigations, DWI/ Impaired Driving, Mental Health, Eyewitness Evidence/ Identification, Child Sex Trafficking, Child Abuse, Sexual Assaults, Homicide & Assault Investigations, Courtroom Security & Safety, Crime Scene Operations/ Processing & execution, Background Investigations and much more. Israel, in the position of lead Investigator for the Crimes Against Person’s unit, guided, trained, and led crime scene investigative teams to identify, collect, process and document evidence which led to successful prosecutions. Israel is a well-rounded law enforcement professional, investigator and instructor who believes in training his team with hands on activities and scenarios.

Cancellations within 5 days of registering are 100% refundable, unless the following restrictions apply: Due to limited seating, we request that you cancel at least 5 days before a scheduled class begins. This gives others the opportunity to register for the class. If you have to cancel your class, and do so at least 5 days before the class, you may use the credit towards any future class. At any time after registering, or within 5 days of the course, you may transfer the registration to another person.
